I’ve had a pretty slow month of work this August. It’s been refreshing to have time off and prepare for a busy, fall wedding season. But on the other hand, it’s really draining to not feel inspired or pushed creatively. I knew I had to go on one more photo adventure before school starts back this Monday, so Michael and I headed down to Chattanooga yesterday to check out some new spots.
We did the Incline Railway and walked around the cute neighborhoods at the top of Lookout Mountain. Storms were moving in through the afternoon, and we had just started down the path to Sunset Rock when it began raining. We finally got down to this overlook spot and I was speechless. We both freaked out at how beautiful it was – clouds rolled over us, fog covered the mountain and river, and the wind felt like it could blow us over. It was like a scene from a movie.
We both kept saying it didn’t feel like we were even in Tennessee. We just kept shooting in the rain and embraced the storm. I’m so happy we went and saw Sunset Rock, and I’m so happy it stormed. It was one of the most incredible sights I have ever seen, and shooting and editing this has been so good for my creative soul.
Thanks for reading!
P.s. My man is handsome 🙂
