I believe wholeheartedly the people and places we surround ourselves with can make or break our moods. So why not make your work environment happy and inspiring?
Since I work mostly from home, it was time for a major facelift to my office space! I have worked out of makeshift dinning room offices, closet offices, and even shared a 50 sq ft office room with my husband Michael. To finally have a dedicated room in our house just to my business and work feels AMAZING! And it’s been a long time coming.
My day to day looks different depending on what projects I’m working on, but a lot of my work involves starring at my computer. My office space is also used for packaging client print + album orders, Zoom meetings, studio space to shoot products and invite suites, planning + marketing, and so much more.
It was important to me to create a very practical space, but I also wanted the space to feel cozy and inspiring.
One of my favorite parts of my office is my gallery wall. I plan to update it every year with photos I’ve taken of my clients, who are so important to me and keep me grounded on my WHY. Each photo on this wall reminds me of one reason why I love what I do.
At the bottom I’ll link every piece that I bought for my office space in case you want to do a little home office makeover too!
This post does not include any affiliate links. These are all just products I genuinely love and want to share! I already had quite a few pieces, but everything else mostly came from World Market, Ikea, Etsy, and thrift stores.
My desk is no longer available at World Market, but I’ve linked a similar style desk. We love most of World Market’s furniture and have several pieces in our home from there. My only advice for shopping at World Market is to wait until they have a big sale and then sign up for their free rewards program to get an even bigger discount. We bought my desk years ago, then bought the same desk for Michael at a fraction of the cost months later.
This chair is super comfy and stylish. It does not have much back support, so adding a lumbar pillow in if you’re working at your computer a lot is a must!
I found these white linen curtains on Facebook marketplace – brand new still in the packaging and in the perfect length for my window. I got the hooks and rod from Wayfair. I love buying second hand when I can, and technically these weren’t ever used, but they were such a steal on marketplace.
We have these shelves all over our house. They are the most well-built floating shelves evvvverr. We’ve had Target, Wayfair, and Amazon floating shelves. All were super cheap and did not last long. These from World Market are real wood, very sturdy, and look handmade.
I got this piece as a graduation gift years ago. It’s been in our living room for a while, but I thought it made the perfect spot to display sample albums and books in my office.
I ordered this cube shelf and other baskets from Ikea, because well.. it’s cheap and practical. I love Ikea for this kind of stuff and am really happy to have all my gear organized and in one place!
Ikea has anything you could ever imagine for organizing your home.
All my office lamps are from Target and I’m not sure if they’re still available, but Target always has cute lamps.
Some other things like frames, large baskets, vases, etc. came from thrift stores and Facebook marketplace. I always find the best baskets at Thriftsmart and somehow I’ve scored most of our home furniture off the marketplace. I’ve also found lots of trays and vases from some of my favorite antique stores in Nashville. My favorite is GlassLamp in Berry Hill! Check around and shop second hand.
