Thrilled to share eighteen photos that capture the essence of Emorie + Phil’s intimate wedding day in downtown Nashville, TN in spring of 2021. They had always been planning a smaller day, even before covid.

With their families at the heart of the day, they gathered with just eight guests –all immediate family — to celebrate their lives together.

Working and living in D.C., the couple decided to visit Emorie’s roots in Music City to tie the knot with a ceremony at Christ Church Cathedral and a lively dinner at Miel.

Emorie and her family began the day at Hermitage Hotel, with views of the Tennessee State Capitol. In the true spirit of the bride, fresh flowers were a big piece of the celebration. The colorful spring blooms spread light through the chapel and dinner table.

The evening ended gathered around one long table in Miel’s beautiful stand-alone room, The Barn.

In 2020 and 2021 we have all embraced so much change, especially those planning weddings. I have witnessed many couples shift their plans to wed with so much grace – not one or two, but multiple times. We have all in some ways slowed down and remembered what is truly important. And I think that shines more at weddings now, no matter the size.
