Headed to Aubrey, Texas for Brittanie + Evan’s wedding at Morgan Creek Barn at The Milestone. The day was such a sweet celebration with family from near and far, filled with some of their favorite things, including soccer – which is how it all started. Brittanie is an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and Evan is the high school boy’s soccer head coach at Lipscomb Academy. 

A few days before their wedding Evan called me to share a sweet surprise he was planning for Brittanie on wedding day. Since soccer has always been such a big piece of their story, he gave her custom Nike cleats with their wedding date on them as a gift. After the “formal” wedding photos, he wanted to test out the new cleats in their wedding attire. That was probably the highlight of the day for me, because it was just so them, and to stop and do something you love doing together in the middle of a busy wedding day is the best. Plus not many brides can say they wore soccer cleats and kicked around a soccer ball in their wedding dress, right?!

Another detail I loved about their day was how much focus they put on writing notes to each other and giving sweet, meaningful gifts. Brittanie gave Evan a wallet and tucked inside was a guitar pick that read “I pick you.” Which brings me to their proposal story. When Evan planned to propose to Brittanie, he flew down to Texas to meet with her family and planned a whole surprise for her. He wrote and played her a song on his guitar before proposing, and it was the sweetest thing ever.

Their day was filled with so many personal touches, and I loved seeing so many familiar Nashville faces down in Texas to celebrate the two! Of course the day would not have been possible without these incredible vendors. Thank you all for making this day unbelievably beautiful and seamless!
